The Carnegie Art Showcase Exhibition is the finest showcase in the Central Valley for new work by California artists in a variety of media. It is a juried exhibition featuring 92 works selected from 292 entries and “Dahlias at Dusk” is included in the show. The exhibition opens July 8th and runs through August 30th.

The “Path to Higher Ground” is a painting from the Eternal Oak Collection, a series celebrating the enduring presence of the oak tree in California’s landscape. The oak tree is a symbol of longevity and strength as it lives for hundreds of years and bears witness to the ever-changing experience of nature and life. In this piece, the presiding oak is shown near a walkway but the path is unclear. The loose brushwork and deconstructed path reflect the chaos and struggle that sometimes can accompany personal growth or ascent to a heightened awareness.
The 26th Annual Spring Obsession Art Competition at Ironstone Vineyards is a lovely celebration of art, wine and flowers. It is an art show and sale that coincides with the annual release of the Ironstone Obsession wines and the splendor of spring which is marked with daffodils blooming throughout the property. Two daffodil paintings, “Pink Charms” and “Trumpets of Spring” are included in the show which opens on Saturday, March 4, 2023 and runs until June 11, 2023.
